I listen to CNN all day long and it struck me the other day that I was hearing a lot about abortion and the new bankruptcy bill. Of course it made me pause for a moment and wonder......WTF?!? Apparently the bankruptcy bill that is still being hashed out would allow people that have been fined for illegally protesting outside facilities that perform the above-mentioned medical procedure to include that debt in a bankruptcy. Now anyone that knows me know I am an advocate of choice, however, this just seems ridiculous on both ends. Why would the Republicans include this in the bill? And why would the Democrats hold up a bill based on a small number of people and in the grand scheme of things, a small amount of money?The other, Homeland Security & Autism.......this bill is all over the place if you ask me, but from my perspective the Republicans are trying to do a few favors for those that have contributed so generously to their campaign funds. Pharmaceutical companies being some huge contributors, one in particular who manufactures Thimerosal, a mercury based preservative that use to be used in vaccines that medical professionals now believe may cause Autism in children. If the Homeland Security bill passed today it would shield the company that makes Thimerosal from being sued by the parents of children with Autism who received these vaccines. I think the Democracts are holding up the ability of the right to lifers to discharge in bankruptcy because NOW is suing them under a civil conspiracy action, the way the Southern Poverty Law Center sued the Klan. If the NOW wins there could be enough damages to destroy the anti-choice terrorists groups the way the Klan was destroyed.
And Bush's boys are acting to protect HIS terrorists from those massive punitive damages. They threw women down steps, trashed clinics and beat one woman until her stitches ruptured - there would be a lot of damages just to repay the actual costs of their victims and then there will be punitive damages. So Bush wants to prevent the destruction of these thug groups.
