TEXAS EVACUATION -TAKING THE PETS WITH THEM

SEE, I TOLD YOU IT WOULD CHANGE IF WE ACTED TOGETHER TO CHANGE THINGS. Blessings to those survivors who refused to leave without their pets. Blessings to those rescuers who spoke out on TV about the bad policy that needed to be changed. Silence helps the abusers of animals and we were not silent this time!

Hurricane Rita evacuation update ----- Galveston, Texas is allowing people to take their pets when they are evacuated. Corpus Christi is evacuating - no word on pets. Call the Mayor's Office. WE MUST Call the Houston Mayor's Office . Make sure they do the RIGHT THING NOW! The Texas governor is Rick Perry.

WE NEED TO CONTINUE THE PRESSURE FOR PERMANENT CHANGE - PRESSURE THE GOVERNMENT TO ADD THE KATRINA ANIMAL RESCUE GROUPS TO THE HEARINGS ON WHAT WENT WRONG IN THE KATRINA EVACUATION.

PRESSURE FEMA TO CHANGE ITS POLICIES AND MOST OF ALL PRESSURE YOUR STATE'S GOVERNOR TO INCLUDE ANIMALS IN THE EVACUATION PROCEDURES.

I found a wonderful blog, MY SO CALLED LIFE that makes it easy for you to do so. I am going to repeat her excellent research below to make it easy for you and myself to do as she instructs but you must go to her website to get to the petition and the excellent links to photos and the latest information.

The following is from the blog MY SO CALLED LIFE:
